about Dave and Annette

Greetings!

Annette and I live in the suburban city of Lee’s Summit, Missouri near Kansas City. “A City Bountiful” is the slogan. I've never noticed any special bountifulness, but it does serve as a fine place to live in between camping trips.

Having graduated in 1987 from Kansas State University I practice interior architecture at a downtown KC architectural firm. The projects I work on are varied in nature; some are related to Sports architecture (stadium interiors), others are corporate (office interiors), and others are civic (a public library).

Annette is the Assistant Librarian at a branch library in Kansas City. She started working at that very library after she graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1983. Working at a public library naturally means working with the public. The public library would be a perfectly sane place to work if it weren’t for the public! Sometimes the people who go to the library can be a little on the strange side, and you can read about some of the strangeness in Annette’s Library Tales, which is part of our network of Internet sites.

We both greatly enjoy camping. We started camping in tents, but in 2004 we upgraded our camping experience through the addition of a tent "pop-up" trailer. The trailer is wonderfully flexible. It can be a fully equipped RV with all the comforts of home, or it can be just a really comfortable tent. Thanks to the trailer, we can now camp a great deal more than we ever did before. You can see some photos from some of our trips in the Camp Arbo section of our web site.

Finally, and most certainly not least, both Annette and I have faith in Jesus of Nazareth as the promised Messiah and Savior of man. We have attempted to explain and defend our faith on the Gospel section of our Internet network.

I hope that you can find something of interest to you in the varied features of our Internet network!
